Our guests are steps away from the best that Rio has to offer. Explore some of Ipanema’s hippest boutiques and shops, cultural scene and nightlife. Indulge and lose yourself in the exuberant beauty of our beaches and forests. We are at the heart of it all: where the City meets the Sea.

Art & Design

If you are fond of antiques and love decorative items, Rio can be a treasure chest for your collection. In Copacabana, you’ll find the Shopping dos Antiquários (also known as Shopping Cidade Copacabana), a mall that houses several stores kept by antiques and decoration enthusiasts.   Spaces such as Projeto D, Art do Mundo Antiguidades, Bertoni Antiquário and Scherer Antiques are sheer visual delights, with their beautiful chandeliers and intricate details that fill every inch of the stores.  A stroll through the mall is an experience in itself. The building was designed by Henrique Mindlin, one of the most prominent architects of the sixties, who also participated in the construction of the MAM – Modern Art Museum along with Afonso Reidy.    Shopping dos Antiquários, R. Siqueira Campos, 143, Copacabana.

Also in Copa but closer to Ipanema is the Shopping Cassino Atlântico that, in addition to antique shops, also hosts several art galleries. On Saturdays, the mall opens its space for an antiques fair with about 100 booths spread over the four floors selling relics and memorabilia. Shopping Cassino Atlântico, Av. Atlântica, 4240,
